Where did the time go?
1995 seems such a long time ago when you look at the date, but to our MD Caroline, and to many of our team who have been with her for over ten years, it's flown by.
From the early days when Caroline and her good friend Rosie decided they could easily make telesales calls for their friends and colleagues in business, to today - our fourth office move taking us to our biggest office yet, and a team of up to 16 staff housed in Buckinghamshire, and access to another 200 in Suffolk! Caroline's husband Mike joined SSM in 2008 as a Partner, bringing with him over 30 years of expertise in Direct Marketing to our clients.
We have also moved from simply offering telesales, to having a customer service and admin team servicing some fantastic accounts from River Island, Sainsbury's, PizzaExpress, Zizzi and Amazon to many local companies including For Your Eyes Only portraits and The Personal Cooling Centre.
We also are delighted to take charge of another three companies that Caroline has launched, all internet retailing sites. These sites have enabled us to add an in-house dispatch centre, and the ability to manage our customers emails internally.
Mike manages our consultancy services division. He lectures in Social Media at Bucks New University amongst many other projects, designs social networking websites, and manages his own collection of companies. Social Networking advice and management was added to our list of services in 2006 making us one of the early contributors in the district.
We literally never stop at SSM! With our fantastic team, some of whom have stayed with us for over ten years we cannot wait to see what the next 15 years brings.
